The Exhibit Hall will be open to the community free of charge only on Monday afternoon, July 15th from 1:30 – 6:00 p.m. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Note: An Exhibit Hall pass does not include access to conference sessions or meals.  Download and share the flyer.

NEW!  Accessible Conference Transportation:

We are aware that getting to the hotel can be challenging for persons with disabilities who don’t drive or need to take public transportation. IHD, in collaboration with Gompers is pleased to offer limited complimentary, accessible van shuttle transportation from a central meeting point in Scottsdale to and from the We-Ko-Pa Resort.  The meeting point will be in front of the Fry’s Grocery Store located 10450 N 90th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Cross streets are Shea Blvd and 90th St.

Transportation is available for individuals who have registered to attend the conference on Monday and Tuesday or the Monday afternoon Exhibit Hall event. Space is limited, and completion of the Transportation Request Form is required. TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BY NOON ON FRIDAY, JULY 12th!  Confirmation will be provided after your transportation request has been processed.

  • $0 for AIVRTTAC Sunday Meeting
  • $250 for AIVRTTAC Sunday Meeting and General Conference

SPECIAL REGISTRATION FEE DISCOUNTS

Persons Working in Arizona Public School Districts or Charter Schools Thanks to support from the Arizona Department of Education – Exceptional Student Services, if you are employed by an Arizona School District or public charter school, we are offering a limited number of discounted registration slots. This applies to teachers, administrators, OTs, PTs, SLPs, paraprofessionals, school counselors and psychologists, etc. The registration fee is $150 and is good for the regular conference on Monday and Tuesday. (The discount does not apply to preconference workshop.) When prompted on the registration form, enter the discount code AZSchools2019. You will then see additional fields to provide information about your employer for verification purposes.

Consumer/Family Members* – A limited number of discounted registrations at $150 for the two-day regular conference are available to persons with disabilities and/or family members*. *The conference format is not designed for children, and we are unable to provide childcare services. Please make alternative arrangements for your children.

Full-Time College Students College students interested in attending the regular conference at a discounted registration fee of $150 must verify their full-time student status prior to registering. To do so:

  1. Request that an administrator or faculty member at your college or university send an email to adi.schaeffer@nau.edu verifying your full-time status.
  2. The email must include
    1. Your name
    2. Your email
    3. Name of school
    4. Program of study
    5. Contact information for faculty member or administrator

When Adi receives the email verifying your full-time status, she will email you a discount code to use when registering online. After you register, we will match your information with the faculty email. You will be notified if there are any problems. REGISTRATION FEES FOR CONFERENCE EVENTS

Unless specified otherwise, fees include breakfasts, lunches, CEUs, electronic access to conference materials and Networking Reception on Monday afternoon. Although you will select a tract (AT, EBP, or AIVRTTAC) when you register, you can attend any and all regular conference sessions that interest you, regardless of the track.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center

The We-Ko-Pa Resort and Conference Center is located about two miles north of Shea Blvd on the west side of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway). Click here for a map and directions.

The Conference Center is just steps across from the hotel entrance way. If you are staying at the hotel, the hotel requires a credit card upon check-in even if your employer or someone else is paying for the room.

GENERAL & ACCESSIBLE PARKING – Hotel parking is free and there are no gates to access. There is ample designated handicapped parking.

Hotel main parking will be closed during the conference due to construction.  Parking will be available in parking lot west of the hotel.  Parking assistance will be available upon arrival.

CONFERENCE CHECK-IN – Go to the Registration Area in the Conference Center to check in and pick up your name badge and bag.

  • Sunday, July 14th
    • Full day preconference workshop check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. (breakfast and lunch provided.) Sessions start at 9:00. You will NOT need to register again on Monday.
    • AIVRTTAC Sunday Meeting: Check-in at 7:30 a.m.; Meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. (Coffee/tea will be provided.) You will not need to check-in again on Monday.
  • Monday, July 15th
    • Registration and breakfast opens at 7:45. Opening Ceremony will start promptly at 8:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, July 16th
    • Buffet breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. Breakout sessions start at 8:00 a.m.

MEALS – Breakfasts and lunches are included in the registration fee*. If you have requested a special meal (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.), your registration materials will include color-coded meal tickets for breakfast & lunch to be given to your server.

*Meals are not included for AIVRTTAC Sunday Meeting participants, but the hotel offers several value priced restaurants. A list will be included in your conference bag. (Breakfast and lunch are provided on Monday and Tuesday.)

NAME TAGS -Wear your name tag at all times; it is your admission ticket for all sessions and meals.

CLIMATE CONTROL – Bring a light sweater or jacket; it may be hot outside, but conference rooms can be chilly.

REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS – If you have requested a reasonable accommodation, go to the Accommodation Desk in the Conference Center near the Registration Desk.

Wi-Fi Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Hotel and Conference Center. Login instructions are in the program and conference bag.
