After three years of virtual and hybrid formats, the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University (IHD) and the Arizona Technology Access Program (AzTAP) are pleased to announce that we are returning to hosting the conference and the exhibit hall entirely IN-PERSON in 2023. The conference will take place at the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center, with exhibit hall hours on June 21 – 22, 2023.
Celebrating IHD’s legacy of providing access to best practices in disability disciplines, the 2023 Evidence for Success Disability Conference will integrate a number of IHD project areas into one conference, with separate content area tracts for Assistive Technology, Innovative Practices in Disability Disciplines, and American Indian/Alaska Native Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment. All participants will have access to the Exhibit Hall and can attend breakout sessions of their choosing across content areas.
Exhibitors have always been an integral part of the IHD-AzTAP Evidence for Success Disability Conference. Exhibit Hall Hours
The exhibit hall (which is located in the Wassaja Ballroom in the conference center) is open for the entire duration of the conference:
- Wednesday June 21,2023: 8:00 am – 5:15 pm
- Thursday, June 22, 2023: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
All general sessions and meals take place in the exhibit hall. The conference schedule also includes unopposed time when attendees are encouraged to interact with exhibitors and we further promote traffic in the exhibit hall by placing the raffle tables inside.
Additionally, the exhibit hall is open to the public (free of charge) on Wednesday afternoon, June 21, from 1:30 pm until 5:00. There will be a networking reception, featuring a magic show performance by magician and autism self-advocate Cody Clark in the same ballroom, from 5:15 pm until 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 21. This event is also free and open to the community, and our exhibitors are welcome to stay for this event if they choose.
NEW THIS YEAR! We have partnered with Midwestern University and have their Occupation and Speech Language Pathology students come through the exhibit hall for a unique “guided experience” on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Between the two afternoons, expect some 100 of their students to join us.
Meals
Meals will be served at your exhibitor table.
Exhibitor Set-Up and Breakdown
Early exhibitor set up is available on Tuesday, June 20 from 4-6 PM. Regular exhibitor set up will open on Wednesday, June 21 at 6 AM. All exhibitors mut be set up and ready to go no later than 8:15 AM on Wednesday.
We expect some 40-50 OT and SLP students from Midwestern University to come through the exhibit hall on Thursday afternoon between 1:30 and 3:30 pm, immediately followed by the closing session. As a result, Exhibit Hall breakdown will take place at the conclusion of the conference – 4:30 pm on Thursday, June 22. Please do not break down your tables during the closing session as this is highly disruptive.
Parking
Free unrestricted parking is available for all conference participants and exhibitors in both the parking lot in front of the hotel and in the parking structure by the casino and conference center. There are a lot of accessible parking slots, all located closest to the entrance doors to the facility.
The conference center is located slightly to the west of the hotel, behind the casino. It is best to enter through the atrium which connects all three areas of the resort. The door to the atrium is located to the right of the casino entrance when facing the building. We will have signage pointing to the entrance during the conference.
Access to the loading dock is restricted for security reasons. If you need access to the loading dock, please let us know so we can put you in touch with the facility staff to make the arrangements.

Items shipped to the hotel will be delivered to your exhibit table on Tuesday, June 20 by 4:00 pm (early set-up time). There is a $75 handling charge if you ship anything that comes on a palette.

Assistance with Set-up
If you need assistance with loading/unloading or with setting up your exhibitor table (s) please come to the exhibitor registration desk for volunteer assistance.

The conference center is located slightly to the west of the hotel, behind the casino. It is best to enter through the atrium which connects all three areas of the resort. The door to the atrium is located to the right of the casino entrance when facing the building. We will have signage pointing to the entrance during the conference.
When you arrive to set up, please first stop by the Exhibitor Registration table outside the Exhibit Hall to pick up your name badge and lanyards, meal tickets, raffle card stickers for participants as well as your conference bag and printed materials (e.g., At-A-Glance, WiFi instructions, conference app information, etc.).
Diagram and Table Numbers
To minimize changes, finalize the exhibit hall layout and assign tables right before the conference. Unless you need to know earlier, you will be given the details at check in.
