NEW THIS YEAR! We are pleased to be introducing special programs specifically for students (especially those studying occupational or speech therapy)!

Specifically, we are introducing THREE STUDENT FOCUSED INITIATIVES:

Poster Presentations

The conference will host poster presentations on Wednesday afternoon, June 21, 1:30-5:00 pm. This will be a great opportunity for your students to showcase and present their research and projects to professionals in Arizona.

We invite your students to submit their poster presentations. The deadline for submission is May 26, 2023.

Students participating in the poster session are invited to join us for our networking reception, featuring a performance by magician and autism advocate Cody Clark, afterwards. There is no charge for the networking reception.

Guided Exhibit Hall

In collaboration with Midwestern University Occupational Therapy Program, we are introducing a new guided exhibit hall program – a special exhibit hall experience designed specifically for professional students. The goal is to help students organize their exhibit hall experience, guide them in how to “see what they are looking at,” and to ask the right questions for their professional lens.

The guided exhibit hall experience is an add-on to our FREE EXHIBIT HALL PASS and will also take place Wednesday, June 21 , 1:30-5:00 pm. There will be a nominal fee of $10/student and will include a short video presentation and student-focused hand-out materials. Register for this guided exhibit hall experience. (Please make sure to select the “university/college student” participant category to get the guided exhibit hall experience as an option.)

As before, students who are at the conference venue at 5:00 pm are invited to join us for our networking reception, featuring a performance by magician and autism advocate Cody Clark afterwards. There is no charge for the networking reception.

Special Student Registration Rates

Some students may want to participate in the conference as paid attendees. This year’s 2-day conference offers 65+ educational sessions focused on the hottest topics in disability and assistive technology, along with opportunities to network with 300-500 professionals in the disability related fields, 45+ exhibitors, raffle drawings, networking reception and much more.

While registration for the conference is normally $249 for the 2-day event, we are introducing special rates for professional students. The discounted student rate is $50/day but includes no food. Breakfast and lunch can be added on for $25/day, and students can choose to participate either for one day (either Wednesday or Thursday, June 21 and 22) or both days. This rate is available only to students currently enrolled in a college or university. During the registration process, students will be asked to provide their name, university email, the name of their school, their program of study and contact information for a faculty member of administrator. Register for the conference as a student attendee.

We believe that this conference provides a great opportunity for student engagement and participation in a well-established statewide, Arizona-based professional conference. As a state university affiliated program, we have created these low cost, no out-of-state travel alternatives for professional students to develop new skills, gain knowledge and network. We hope to have many students participate in our 2023 conference!
